The Rebels capture the Championship at the 39th annual Greg Mattison Rebel Classic on Saturday Dec. 19th, 2009. The team went undefeated in the 14-team dual meet tournament.

Congratulations to the team MVP Tyler Benavides. The Rebels had 7 first place finishes, Jared Ricker (112), Tyler Benavides (130), Matt Salo (140), J.T. Wilkins (145), Alex Harvey (171), Ben Harvey (189) and Anthony Chu (heavyweight). Also undefeted Jon Melendez (119) took 2nd due to tiebreaker criteria.

Quartz Hill Rebels won the Eagle Invitational at Lancaster High School for the second year in a row on Saturday Dec. 12, 2009.

The Rebels had 5 individual champions: Hayden Zimmerman (103), Jared Ricker (at 112 pounds), Jon Melendez (119), Zack Uribe (215), Anthony Chu (heavyweight)
